CAROLINE CAWSTON Managing Director
Caroline has extensive public affairs and public relations experience, and has worked in the business since 1982.
In 1989, she founded Harcourt, an independent company specialising in political consultancy, which includes the provision of information and intelligence on developments at Westminster, in Edinburgh, Cardiff, Belfast and Europe; strategic advice; and both short and long-term profile-raising programmes in the public arena.
Prior to 1989, Caroline spent six years with Good Relations Limited, where she worked as an account director, providing board-level strategic corporate advice to a wide range of clients, and devising and implementing specially tailored public affairs and public relations programmes.
Caroline worked at the House of Commons for ten years in the seventies as assistant to a Liberal frontbench spokesman specialising in the economic and trade and industry fields. She developed particular expertise in the legislative process, and has a wide range of contacts both in Parliament and Whitehall and within the British political parties.
Client experience includes work with the Channel Tunnel Group, GKN Defence, Britannia Airways, the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport, Group 4, Healthcall Group plc, Patientline, Catalyst Healthcare Management Ltd, the Campbell Soup Company, HSBC, Brunner Mond (UK) Ltd, Jarvis plc, the Quarry Products Association, Weight Watchers (UK) Ltd, the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, Sport England, and Pizza Hut.
Caroline is a Commissioner of the Duke of York's Royal Military School, Dover, and vice-chairman of governors of St. David's School, Ashford, Middlesex.
