A client interested in the purchase of a specific element of a public body being privatised by the Government wished to have advice on the likely political sensitivities should it proceed to bid.

Within a week, we produced a report which gave the background to the privatisation, profiles of the personalities involved, a breakdown of the likely timetable, and an analysis of the political considerations to be taken into account.

This report was then used by our client in making the necessary strategic decisions.
